Upgrade vs QuickBooks Online Intuit to Sunset QuickBooks Desktop Version 2016 Every year on April 30th Intuit sunsets versions of their QuickBooks desktop software (PC & Mac) that are more than 3 years old. Sunsetting is when a company chooses to stop supporting older product or version of software. On April 30, 2019 when Intuit sunsets the 2016 version of QuickBooks Desktop (Pro, Premier and Enterprise) users of this product will no longer have access to technical support related to the product or data.
